Meet in Public
Always meet buyers/sellers in a busy public place — a mall, bank, or busy market. Never at your home or theirs.
Never Pay in Advance
Do not pay before seeing and inspecting the item. Scammers always ask for advance payment then disappear.
Inspect Before Buying
Test electronics, check vehicle documents, verify property ownership documents. Never buy without inspection.
Verify the Seller
Check the seller's profile, reviews, and how long they have been registered. Be cautious of new accounts with no history.
Avoid Too-Good-To-Be-True Deals
If a price is 50% below market value, it is likely a scam. Genuine sellers price reasonably.
Use Secure Payment
For high-value items, use bank transfers in person or verified escrow services. Avoid JazzCash/EasyPaisa to strangers.
Ask for More Photos
Request multiple photos from different angles. Scammers use stock or stolen images.
Bring Someone
For high-value purchases like cars or property, always bring a trusted friend or family member.
Get a Receipt
For any transaction, get a signed receipt with the seller's CNIC number and contact details.
Report Fraud Immediately
If you are scammed, report to FIA Cybercrime Wing at 9911 or cybercrime.gov.pk immediately.
